Supporters of Stanisław I Leszczyński form a military organization in Dzików (today a suburb of Tarnobrzeg) under the leadership of Adam Tarło during the War of Polish Succession, on November 5, 1734.
The watchword of the so-called the Dzikowska Confederation is: "Fight with Saxony and Russia for political independence of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and carry out political reforms."
Tarło and the Dzikowska Confederation try to fight the Russians and Saxons, but their efforts are ineffective, and the confederation is eventually defeated.
Augustus is confirmed as king Augustus III in what becomes known as the Pacification Sejm, held in June and July of 1736, and pronounces a general amnesty; Stanisław had signed the act of abdication six months earlier.
Michael Wiśniowiecki is rewarded: the king makes him the Grand Hetman (commander-in-chief) of Lithuania.
