Charles Mathieu Isidore Decaen (April 13, 1769 – September 1, 1832), born in Caen, becomes a French general who serves during the French Revolutionary Wars, as Governor General of Pondicherry and Isle de France (now Mauritius) and as commander of the Army of Catalonia during the Napoleonic Wars.
