José Núñez de Cáceres

José Núñez de Cáceres (Santo Domingo, March 14, 1772 † Ciudad Victoria, September 11, 1846) is a Dominican politician and writer.

He is the leader of Dominican independence when Spain rules the country and he is also the first person in the country to use literature as weapon of social protest and politics.
