Day of Daggers
On the Day of Daggers, February 28, 1791, hundreds of nobles with concealed weapons, such as daggers, go to the Tuileries Palace in Paris to defend King Louis XVI while Marquis de Lafayette and the National Guard are in Vincennes stopping a riot
A confrontation between the guards and nobles starta as the guards think the nobles have come to take the King away.
The nobles are finally ordered by the King to relinquish their weapons and they are forcibly removed from the palace.
