The Nepalese Civil War (labeled People's War by the Maoists between government forces and Maoist rebels in Nepal which lasts from 1996 until 2006 is started by the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) on February 13, 1996, with the aim of establishing the "People's Republic of Nepal."
It ends with a Comprehensive Peace Agreement signed on November 21, 2006 which is now monitored by United Nations Mission in Nepal.
