The town on the site of Anazarbus …
Years: 525 - 525
The town on the site of Anazarbus had been known under the early Roman empire as Caesarea, and was the metropolis of Cilicia Secunda.
Rebuilt by the emperor Justin I after an earthquake, it becomes Justinopolis (525); but the old native name persists.
