Christians (Stone Movement)
Years: 1803 - 1832
The Christians (Stone Movement) are a group arising during the Second Great Awakening of the early nineteeth century.
The most prominent leader is Barton W. Stone.
The group is committed to restoring primitive Christianity.
It merges with the Disciples of Christ (Campbell Movement) in 1832 to form what is now described as the American Restoration Movement (also known as the Stone-Campbell Restoration Movement.)
