The Zand tribe is a tribe of Lak[ or Lurs of Lorestan.

The tribe is most known for their member, Karim Khan, who becomes the Regent of Southern Persia for Ismail III in 1750.

Internal conflicts for Karim Khan's succession after his death in 1779 result in a weakening of the dynasty, ending with the defeat of Karim Khan's nephew over regional rulers.
