Southern Africa

Five states—South Africa, Lesotho, Eswatini (Swaziland), Namibia, and Botswana —and two partial states—Zimbabwe (southern), and Mozambique (southwestern)—constitute Southern Africa. The Southern African Customs Union (SACU), created in 1969, comprises five states in the UN subregion of Southern Africa: South Africa, Lesotho, Eswatini (Swaziland), Namibia, and Botswana.
