Mongol Invasion of Burma, or Mongol-Burmese War of 1277-87

Years: 1277 - 1287

After the conquest of China, Kublai Khan, the founder of the Yuan Dynasty and the Great Khan of the Mongol Empire, invades the Pagan Kingdom of Burma in 1277 and 1283.

However, the Yuan armies later again invade Burma several times in order to assert supremacy over the territory.

"In times like these, it helps to recall that there have always been times like these.”

— Paul Harvey, radio broadcast (before 1977)
