Prague, Battle of
Years: 1757 - 1757
In the Battle of Prague or Battle of Štěrboholy on May 6, 1757, Frederick the Great's sixty-seven thousand Prussians force sixty thousand Austrians to retreat, but having lost fourteen thousand three hundred men, decide he is not strong enough to attack Prague.
The battle will be mentioned in the famous German ballad Lenore written in 1773 by Gottfried August Burger.
