Twelve more crew members are executed on November 8, when the HMS Niobe finally reaches Santiago.

The carnage stops on the same day, when Lorraine threatens local commander Juan N. Burriel that he will bombard Santiago if there are any more executions.

There had been a total of fifty-three executions at Santiago under Burriel’s authority.
