The Swiss gain their bit of French territory after Napoleon’s defeat at Waterloo.

Switzerland is thus enlarged, and Swiss neutrality is established.

Swiss mercenaries have played a significant role in European Wars for a couple of hundred years, and the intention of the Congress of Berlin is to put a stop to these activities permanently.
