Jackson's army enters Florida on March 15, marching down the banks of the Apalachicola River.

When they reach the site of the Negro Fort, Jackson has his men construct a new fort, Fort Gadsden.

The army now sets out for the Miccosukee villages around Lake Miccosukee.
