After the decision to build at Har Homa, King Hussein writes an angry letter to Netanyahu accusing him of endangering regional stability.

A few days later, on March 13, a Jordanian soldier opens fire on a group of Israeli schoolgirls visiting a border tourist site, killing seven.

Hussein, showing both compassion and courage, visits the bereaved families in Israel, a gesture that does much to restore confidence in the resilience of the Israel-Jordan peace.
