The General Slovenian Women's Association (Splošno slovensko žensko društvo), founded in 1901 by Franja Tavčar and Josipine Widmar, is the first women's rights organisation in Slovenia.
Its purpose is to work for women's access to higher education and professional work, but also for women's suffrage.
It will be discontinued in 1945.
