February 1821 CE
Representatives of the Spanish Crown and Agustín de Iturbide sign the Treaty of Córdoba, which ratifies the independence of Mexico from Spain under the terms of the "Plan of Iguala" on February 24, 1821, and, although not recognized by the latter, effectively concludes the Mexican War of Independence.
