A day-old infant dies in Hebron and another, three months old, dies in her mother's arms in September in another of the countless curfews imposed by Israel on the West Bank.
Both had been on their way to the hospital, when Israeli soldiers refused to let them pass through security barriers that had been erected to ensure that Jewish settlers could observe ritually prescribed seven days of mourning without disturbance.
According to a military spokesman, the soldier made "a mistake in judgment."
