John II Casimir on October 19 is exiled to Silesia while Kraków surrenders to Charles X Gustav.

Charles X Gustav heads northwards in late October leaving Wittenberg in Kraków with a mobile force of three thousand Swedish and two thousand Polish troops, and an additional number scattered in garrisons, to control the southern part of the Swedish-occupied commonwealth.
