Justinian completes his codification of Roman law in 534, expanding the "limitations on Jews” that will serve as the basis for future European codes.
This second edition of the Corpus Juris Civilis (Body of Civil Law), or Codex Justinianus, containing Justinian's own laws up to the date of issue, is published in 534.
