A company of eighty men commanded by General Edward Burleson defeats Vicente Córdova and the rebels during a fight near Seguin, Texas, at "Battleground Prairie" on March 29, 1839.

Wounded and pursued by Mathew Caldwell and his rangers, Córdova is able to make his way to Mexico, but thirty-three members of the rebellion are tried for treason; they will later be pardoned or released.
