June 1886 CE
The fifty-six-year-old Camille Pissarro is the only painter to have participated in all eight Impressionist Exhibitions between 1874 and 1886.
Less radical than Seurat's circle in his approach to painting, he assimilates the Neo-Impressionist method to the vision of the older generation, as may be seen in his oil Apple-Picking (1886; Ohara Museum of Art, Kurashiki, Okayama, Japan.)
