He initiates the building of the combined mortuary temple and tomb of the Eleventh dynasty at Deir el-Bahri, opposite Luxor on the west bank of the Nile River, around 2050.
A sculptured and painted colonnade surrounds the tomb's flat-roofed central core, approached by a ramp leading to the structure through a garden.
