The merchant James F. B. Marshall arrives in London on June 30 and meets with U.S. Ambassador Everett.

Two other envoys from Hawaii, William Richards and Timothy Haʻalilo, are in Paris, France negotiating treaties.

They have already received verbal assurance that Hawaii's independence will be respected.
