Windradyne himself has a reward of five hundred acres of land upon his head.
By late 1824, large numbers of Wiradjuri are surrendering themselves to the government however, Windradyne has continued to elude the soldiers and as such martial law remains in place for a further seven weeks
On December 11, 1824, martial law is finally repealed, and on December 28 Windradyne appearsat the head of his people in Parramatta to attend the Governor's annual feast.
He wears the word "peace" on his hat and knows the soldiers cannot arrest him because of the possibility of a riot with so many Aborigines here.
