The colonists begin to form raiding parties…
July 1676 CE
The colonists begin to form raiding parties of friendly natives and volunteer militia.
They are allowed to keep what warring native possessions they find and receive a bounty on all captives.
Major John Talcott and his troops begin sweeping Connecticut and Rhode Island from July 2, capturing large numbers of natives from Algonquin tribes and exporting them out of the Thirteen Colonies as slaves.
