The cowboy that had been originally arrested…
May 1885 CE
The cowboy that had been originally arrested by deputy sheriff Elfego Baca serves his time in jail for disturbing the peace and drunkenness, and is released.
The cowboys pursue Baca through legal means, attempting to have him imprisoned for the killing of their four comrades.
Baca is indicted in May 1885, for the killing of one of the men.
He is acquitted, however, when the door of Geronimo Armijo's house is introduced as evidence, having over four hundred bullet holes in it.
Baca will go on to become a licensed attorney and a Deputy U.S. Marshal.
