The Danish invasion of Scania starts with…
June 1676 CE
The Danish invasion of Scania starts with the seizure of Helsingborg in June 29, 1676.
Danish king Christian V brings fifteen thousand troops against a defending Swedish army of five thousand men, which are spread out over the province.
The operation is a great success, initially: large parts of the local peasantry side with Denmark and the outnumbered Swedish troops are in bad shape.
