The failed Hazara uprising of 1891 to…
1893 CE
The failed Hazara uprising of 1891 to 1893 results in a great weakening of the structure of Hazara society.
The Pashtun-controlled central government in Kabul forces many of the Hazaras forced from their original homelands into towns and villages in the north and west of Afghanistan; Pashtun settlers now move northward to occupy the depopulated Hazara territories.
This action is concurrent with a great mass migration of Hazaras, many of whom take refuge in Mashhad, Iran, while others migrate to Quetta in Pakistan, then India.
