The Little Arkansas Treaty is a set…
October 1865 CE
On October 14 and 18, 1865 the United States and all of the major Plains Tribes sig a treaty on the Little Arkansas River, which becomes known as the Little Arkansas Treaty.
It is notable in that it lasts less than two years, the reservations it creates for the Plains Indians are never created at all, and will be reduced by ninety percent eighteen months later in the Medicine Lodge Treaty.
