The PFLP-GC has been less active than the other two Palestinian leftist groups, the PFLP and the DFLP, but sometimes quite innovative.

Its attacks on Israel from southern Lebanon occasionally involve unconventional vehicles; a November 1987 hang glider attack kills six Israeli soldiers and wounds eight others, and helps spark the intifadah.
