Their 1892 platform calls for nationalizing rail and communications systems; free silver; a graduated income tax; the right of farmers to withhold crops from the market when prices dip; the direct election of U.S. Senators; restrictions on immigration; an eight-hour day for industrial workers; and other reform planks.
