December 1850 CE
Supply difficulties begin when supply wagons arrive late and o not carry enough to supply the troops for long.
Supply by sea from San Diego has been requested but had not arrived as planned.
When it did arrive boats had difficulty bringing it up from the mouth of the Colorado against the river's strong tidsl bore at the river mouth, strong spring flood current and the confused maze channels in the delta.
Bringing it overland by wagon is difficult also but more successful.
