Friedrich Adolf Riedesel, Freiherr zu Eisenbach (June 3, 1738 in Lauterbach, Hesse – January 6, 1800 in Braunschweig) is a German officer who serves in the Seven Years' War and American War of Independence.
He is the commander of the Braunschweiger Jäger, a regiment of soldiers from the Duchy of Brunswick (Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel) among the German units hired by the British during the American War of Independence, and commands all German soldiers in the Saratoga Campaign.
