Fujiwara no Yorinaga (May 1120 – August 1, 1156), of the Fujiwara clan, holds the position of Imperial Palace Minister of the Right.
Born in 1120, Yorinaga ascends quickly through the political ranks achieving a formidable office of Naidaijin by the age of seventeen.
In 1150, he is appointed Minister of the Left, the highest rank under the Regent.

Yorinaga is one of the last major advocates of restoring the once powerful Fujiwara Regency, which is the ruling political faction in Japan from about 794-967.
In addition to his political aspirations, Yorinaga is a scholar of sorts who keeps detailed memoirs that describe his studies in Indian logic and other foreign studies.
He has two sons: Fujiwara no Moronaga (1138-1192) who serves as Daijo-daijin and Fujiwara no Kanenaga (1138-1158).
