Jean Thurel, or Jean Theurel (September 6, 1698 –  March 10, 1807), is a fusilier of the French Army with an extraordinarily long career that spans over seventy-five years of service in the Touraine Regiment.

Born in the reign of Louis XIV and dying during that of Napoleon I, Thurel lives in three different centuries.
