Shi Chaoyi
Chinese Emperor of the Yan Dynasty
Years: 725 - 763
Shi Chaoyi (died 763) is the final emperor of the Yan state that is established in rebellion against the Chinese Tang Dynasty.
He is the oldest son of Shi Siming, and he overthrows and then kills his father in a coup in 761 and takes over as emperor.
However, he cannot gain the allegiance of his father's subordinates, and is eventually defeated by joint forces of Tang and Huige.
He commits suicide in flight.
