American Slaveholders' Rebellion and Reconstruction; 1864 through 1875
The American Slaveholders' Rebellion ends in 1865, followed by a dozen years of Reconstruction, in which the Federal government attempts to solve the political, social, and economic problems arising from the readmission to the Union of the eleven Confederate states that had seceded at or before the outbreak of war.
