The Peshwa surrenders on June 3, 1818, and is sent off to Bithur near Kanpur under the terms of the Treaty of Mandeswar signed on this day.
Of the Pindari leaders, Karim Khan had surrendered to Malcolm in February 1818; Wasim Mohammad had surrendered to Shinde and eventually poisoned himself; and Setu had been killed by a tiger.
