After the Russian Revolution of 1917, the victorious Bolsheviks reorganize Muslim Central Asia into national Soviet republics.
Muslims convoke a National Congress in Kokand and establish an autonomous government under Mustafa Chokayev, which is liquidated in February 1918 by Red Army forces sent from Tashkent.
