The French have made considerable efforts to transport refugees to Ile Saint-Jean (now
Prince Edward Island and by early October six or seven hundred had arrived here.
Most of the one thousand Acadians at Cobequid have vacated their lands, along with a very large part of Pisiquid, several hundred, have come to Ile Saint-Jean.
