George Scott takes seven hundred troops, attacks twenty houses at Memramcook, arrests the remaining Acadians and kills two hundred head of livestock to deprive the French of supplies.
Acadians try to escape the expulsion by retreating to the St. John and Petitcodiac rivers, and the Miramichi in New Brunswick.
