The Council General replaces the aristocratic oligarchy that previously ruled the state.
The New Reform (Nova Reforma) begins after ratification by both Co-Princes and establishes the basis of the constitution and symbols—such as the tricolor flag—of Andorra.
A new service economy arises as a demand of the valley inhabitants and begins to build infrastructure such as hotels, spa resorts, roads and telegraph lines.
