Father Lauverjat from Penobscot leads five hundred to six hundred natives from Penobscot and Medunic (Maliseet) on July 15, 1722, in laying siege to Fort St. George for twelve days.
They burn a sawmill, a large sloop, and sundry houses, and kill many of their cattle.
Five New Englanders are killed and seven are taken prisoner, while the New Englanders kill twenty Maliseet and Penobscot warriors.
Westbrook is given command of the fort.
Following this raid, Brunswick is raided again and burned before the warriors return to Norridgewock.
