Fawkes is taken to the King early…
November 1605 CE
Fawkes is taken to the King early on the morning of November 5.
As news of "John Johnson's" arrest spreads among the plotters still in London, most flee northwest, along Watling Street.
Christopher Wright and Thomas Percy leave together.
Rookwood leaves soon after, and manages to cover 30 miles in two hours on one horse.
He overtakes Keyes, who had set off earlier, then Wright and Percy at Little Brickhill, before catching Catesby, John Wright, and Bates on the same road.
They meet with Christopher Wright, and continue northwest to Dunchurch, using horses provided by Digby.
Keyes goes to Mordaunt's house at Drayton.
Meanwhile, Thomas Wintour stays in London, and even goes to Westminster to see what is happening.
When he realizes the plot has been uncovered, he takes his horse and makes for his sister's house at Norbrook, before continuing to Huddington Court.
