1872 CE
The anti-authoritarian sections create their own International at the St. Imier Congress and adopt a revolutionary anarchist program.
Although Mikhail Karl Bakunin accepts Marx’s class analysis and economic theories regarding capitalism, acknowledging "Marx’s genius", he thinks Marx is arrogant, and that his methods would compromise the social revolution.
More importantly, Bakunin criticizes "authoritarian socialism" (which he associates with Marxism) and the concept of dictatorship of the proletariat, which he adamantly refuses.
