The legal and economic proposals made by the commission in 1833 are innovative and radical.
The proposed reforms oppose mercantilism, state monopolies, discriminatory administrative regulations, and, in general, any interference in the economy.
Many of the proposals are adopted and help set a pattern of administrative, economic, judicial, and educational development that will continue into the next century.
