The Duke of Lorraine had returned to…
October 1470 CE
The Duke of Lorraine had returned to Catalonia in May of 1469 and in June had taken Girona, which he had been besieging through 1467 and 1468, and several smaller places.
The Duke dies in December 1470, before an attack on the mountainous redoubt of Francesc de Verntallat can be carried out.
At a general cortes at Monzón in 1470, the king receives the subsidy he has requested to carry on the war until the expulsion of the French from Catalonia.
