Of special importance is the work of the Swedish-language poet Johan Ludvig Runeberg (1804-77), who authors a collection of poems called The Tales of Ensign Stål, published in the year of revolution, 1848.
The first poem of the cycle, called "Our Land," is soon set to music, and it will become the national anthem of Finland.
