Lin Shihong

agrarian rebel leader against the Chinese Sui dynasty

570 CE to 622 CE

Lin Shihong (died 622) is an agrarian leader who rose against the rule of the Chinese Sui Dynasty near the end of Emperor Yang's reign.

For several years, he controls most of modern Jiangxi and Guangdong, but is then under attack by others, gradually reduced to fighting a guerrilla war against the Tang Dynasty.

He dies in 622, and his followers scatter.
